I have used **Zylone** as a handle since well before the public internet felt normal, going back into the BBS days. I have had this domain since 1996, and I plan to keep it. Handles come and go, platforms come and go, but this is the name that stuck. The site is mostly a place to keep notes about systems, networking, homelab projects, tools, and whatever else I am tinkering with. It is not meant to be a portfolio, a résumé, or a polished brand. I am just a nerd writing things down. Most pages are written for myself first. If they help someone else, that is a bonus. If they are incomplete, narrowly scoped, or oddly specific, that is probably because they came from a real problem I wanted to remember later. --- ## What tends to show up here - homelab hardware and infrastructure notes - networking, routing, VLAN, and observability documentation - short technical references I do not want to rediscover again - longer field notes, like [The Long Game in IT](/notes/the-long-game-in-it/) --- ## Elsewhere Some related code and experiments live on GitHub: The public repositories are sparse and somewhat eclectic.
